The ongoing gas crisis in Dhaka city and adjacent areas has been getting worse every day, with the dip in temperature creating huge sufferings to both household and commercial consumers. Gas crisis has been reported in various areas of Dhaka city including Mohammadpur, Dhanmandi, Tejgaon, Jatrabari, Shewrapara, Kafrul, East Rajabazar, Mirpur, Pallabi, Kazipara, Taltola, Shyamoli, Khilgaon, Malibag and Mughda, Tongi and Narayanganj. The residents have said that gas shortage has created various problems in their lifestyle; it's difficult to prepare home-cooked meals, so most of the time, they have to purchase restaurant meals. While those who can buy gas cylinders, kerosene stoves, electric rice-cookers or induction cookers, the rest have to either wait for hours for the gas supply or use earthen stoves
